LUKE FEST - A tribute to Luke Crow
LUKE FEST ... The Flag, Watford. A NIGHT OF REMEMBRANCE, dedication and live music took place at The Flag public house, Watford on Friday 10th of January, as an impressive number of friends and family gathered to celebrate the life of Luke Crow, an ex-pupil of Bushey Meads School, who passed away after a long illness late last year, aged just 21. Bands of all genres tackled The Flag stage with the aim of raising funds in support of 'LUKE FEST'. The evening culminated with a rousing performance by recently disbanded Watford Rock band 'None The Less' who took the stage one last time, performing a short but fun set in honour of their old school friend. Luke was a big fan and a great friend of the band throughout their time together, and the band really helped the night end on a high note with a performance that Luke would have been proud of. The generosity of all who attended this evening was evident with a whopping total of £1,500.00 being raised in Lukes name. Friends and family were 'touched' with the generosity and show of affection in the memory of Luke and 'over the moon' how the self titled 'LUKE FEST' went down. It was plain to see by anyone in attendance that the numbers that swelled this generous venue were testament to how Luke influenced and gained the respect of a lot of people, both old and new during his short life.
With thanks to family and friends.
